About Us

The Northern Baroque Orchestra is a chamber orchestra of both professional and amateur musicians, predominately string players, specialising in music from the Baroque and early Classical eras.

Founded in 1985 by the late Linda Williams, a violinist and peripatetic teacher, it gives two concerts per year in the Rochdale area. The members work with regular and guest conductors, as well as soloists and woodwind/brass players. The orchestra is run by its committee and supported by its wonderful Patrons.

If you would like to join the orchestra as a playing member or support the orchestra as a Patron, please contact us.
