Concerts

The Northern Baroque Orchestra holds two concerts each year in the Rochdale area. Rehearsals are held in the weeks preceding each concert, mostly on Wednesday evenings at the concert venue.

Our next concert will be on Saturday 22nd June 2024 from 7:30pm at St Aidan's Church in Sudden, Rochdale (OL11 3EL).

NBO will perform the following works:

​

  • Vivaldi's Violin Concerto in A minor, RV 356

  • Handel's Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 1 in G major

  • Handel's Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 2 in F major

  • Corelli's Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 6 in F major

  • Geminiani's Concerto Grosso No. 8 in E minor (after Corelli's Op. 5 Violin Sonata)

  • Telemann's Concerto à 4 (for strings) in A major, TWV 43:A4

The soloist for the Vivaldi will be our leader, Andrew Rostron, and the conductor for this concert will be Paul Stanhope.

​

Tickets will be available at the door for £15 (£12 for concessions, £5 for students and £1 for children under 18).
